We found this Mustang on Craig's list. She was born December 1st 1970 in Dearborn Michigan. She had been sitting for years, parked after having an engine fire. Judging from the internals, the motor had just been rebuilt shortly before the fire. The interior was a mess and the body had some primer but far from ready for paint
The 71 - 73 Mustang is somehow ignored by most of the mustang community. Sometimes called the C word (Clydesdale) by earlier pony fans the reality is the 1971 - 73 Mustang was just slightly larger than the 69 - 70 and most people that have actually driven one will tell you they they drive better than the earlier Mustangs |
Restored in the original Light Pewter Metalic paint. The engine is the original style M code 351 Clevland four barrel with closed chamber heads. Transmission is the original C6 automatic rebuilt. Maxine was born December 1st 1970. Built in Dearborn Michigan and ordered from the Houston DSO |

In the beginning there was...... well mostly a graveyard car that had sat out far too long in the Arizona sun. We paid just $1,600 for "Maxine" as she would later be named. That also included a vintage Sun distributor machine and a more modern coolant recovery system
Note the plane in the backgound, this is not near an airport
